Humankind.. in the last chapter of God's holy book. Musing through this, i feel that there's a hidden meaning to this. I also feel that there should be a translation for as why surahs were arranged in a particular order. Its up to me to conclude what it means.

My thoughts on this -

Since its the last words in the the Holy Quran, it can also be God's last message and thus, its real meaning of this surah can be crucial once decrypted. To bow down and serve God from evil influences. Which reminds me.... To quote my father - "Try your best. Even if you fail, you know you've done your best." There are also many teachings from my father that i benefited and utilised in my daily life.

Humans should always refrain from the negative temptations and always bear in mind that God is the God of Humankind and rules all; God is always alongside us and we must "take refuge" in God. Be in His grasp and refrain from evil. Since he is the Lord of Humankind, he is virtually everywhere.

Pray to the Lord for he is All-Forgiving and Most Merciful.

The Polytechnic Assignments Era

They keep coming... One after another, piling up into a stack and more demands. That's polytechnic life. All about assignments and being typical Singaporeans. It's good in a way, helps practice discipline but its downfall is that at times, students may have to come back on both weekends back to school to finish up their assignments. Woooo.........

I feel like i have been busy for the past month day and night working on my Final Year Project. Everyday seems like a rush and it's as if i dont even have time for myself. I just wanna STOP and freeze time so that i can sit down and lay on the bed and take a good breath...

It's work work work and no break for me. For those IT people who gave up on their FYP, please hold on and carry on with work. We can relax later but for now, concentrate on your FYP. All the best..

It's Sunday today and AGAIN.. i went to school today recalling that Monday was the sole DEADline for our FYP + user manuals + everything etc and..... yes that's right. Ngee Ann poly was infested with IT students burning midnight oil and it was very very oily oil. Fortunately for that case,i joined with some of the geeks there and did our own work, sighing and typing as time pass..

Momma told me, as i went out of the house to school - pray to God and pray for his blessings. Yes, i will do that and acknowledge its purpose full heartedly. For that, i will install the notion in my hard disk and never uninstall it. Nothing to lose, everything to gain!

Well, it's been 3 years since i practiced writing my English and after reading my entries in this blog...... I thought - What the heck happened to my English? Part of me blame IT for making me computer organized thinking. All these protocols and programming languages have totally altered my Operating System (OS)... An example of an OS is Windows XP, Mac OS X, Linux bla bla and the list goes on.

I just want to take a break and breathe. I have prayed for it and i know i will get it. I just have to be patient and be stoic about dat.

Prologue : Principles of SuF

Lemme start off by saying this - In almost every person, there lies their very own personality principle. A principle whereby it is treated as a formula for everyday life. I'm am aware of my friends' principles - some are serious whereas some are not.

For example - My best buddy, Rizal always have this in mind - " What you GIVE is what you GET!". He has always been practising that since Sec 5 and i respect his idealology. Even his forum entries are accompanied with that slogan of his. We've always been together with another of our buddy, Azim and never separated. The three of us are a TEAM. Separated after secondary school, we're still intact and we agreed that we never say bye to each other. Friends never say goodbye.

I always told them my secret slogan that i have been using since Sec 5 to achieve good results in studies as a motivation tool. This slogan might be ridiculous to others and yes it is, but its side effects can be explosive. This slogan - ........... i will discuss it next time.

For now!! I am about to find my/the true principle that the ancient Muslim civilisation utilised in their golden days to achieve the their prime and glorious status. It will be researched throughout the holy Quran.

The first verse - "Alhamdullilah" - to be grateful and give thanks to God. I started thinking to myself when i was in the bus while sitting down during the one journey back home from school. Alhamdulillah! Am very grateful that i get to sit down and travel in a bus back home whereas in other countries like for example in Kenya etc, students have to jog kilometres back home.

Looking at my reflection everyday, i'm so grateful that i am born healthy without any disease of defects. I'd be really sad if i am tone deaf (affects playing of musical instruments) or colour blind (affects media and creative design).

SO - that's it! I'll leave you with a popular saying - Shishio Makoto of Rorouni Kenshin believed and said, "The strong shall live and the weak shall perish, that is the universal law of nature." Hmmm.....

Camp Innova`part 2

yeah that's right! It's been a while since my last update. More on Camp Innova... Hmm, it's been quite a while since i attended that camp.. i still remember the first day there, i was picked by the game master as the first guy to forfeit.. Man, what did i do to get cannoned by her.. maybe i gave everyone the cold stare? Luckily, thanks to my wonderful luck, she asked me to sing a love song to everyone. IMMEDIATELY, i sang Happy Birthday song and it bewildered them to be reluctant enough and accept it.

Oh ya, here's a profile of my team members -
Me - the team leader, i quickly make decisions for all of the challenges. I'm the busiest in the team - i drew everything and directed every damn angle. I also assign my teammates jobs. Somehow, they feel that i'm extrovert. .. hmm , really?
Pei Hui - the team loyal follower and happy-go-lucky gal. She is the team's smile and likes to chat a lot.. also the one who started calling me boss... dun call me boss, i have a pigeon called BOSS!
Mas - the team medic and joker. This loud gal suddenly joined my team and decided that she's with us. Good! She's full of ideas for the project and loves a good laugh.
Kent - this gentle giant is all brawns but a liittle brain CPU installed. He may slow the team down but is the best navigator during the Amazing Race in NUS.
Melvin - my clone. He is always there to manage things and direct things when i'm not around. Thanks to his presence, my workload is partially empowered to him.

Woo! That's it! That's it! Time to continue my school projects! Till next time!

Camp Innova

Camp Innova was held at NUS which i attended recently. The truth is - i was forced to go. Even though i rejected the calls and offers numerous times, they had their ways of getting me to come down.. How? The final call started with, " Sufian, we have paid for you half of the camp fees. See you at NUS tomorrow." Brilliant.

The day at NUS started with the normal usual camp routine - ice-breaking, to get know of your peers. Man, i have to say Prince George Residence, NUS was a remedy to sore eyes. High rise student campus buildings, full glass windows, very classy. Cant really play a heavy metal song there in my mind. It was more like harp + female choir playing when i saw the scenery there.

After the introductions and stuff, it was time for the amazing race! We were separated into groups and there goes our navigation and journey! I quickly lead my team towards our first goal and what the.. we were delayed 10 precious minutes as the "clue guy" came late. Nvm, i told my team we must press on and persevere. After an hour of fun, perspiring with sweat etc, my team emerged as the winners. We deserve it!

Camp Innova PArt 2 coming up soon! Later!

Introduction

Hello! Hello! :)

Hi.. everybody! I am Sufian, your host for today.. I will be entertaining you guys from here on. This is my new blog and i hope it will be as entertaining as it can be! So let me brush through the first topic - My polytechnic attachment.

Yes, some of you might be aware that i got attached to the Singapore Science Centre doing IT stuff there and "extra help". The first week there was the the challenge for me - had to go through the state of being the new guy. The thing there about SSC is that - the staff tend to be over friendly. They'd neva hesitate to say hi and make friends.. Sure, there are some unfriendly ones but most of em are super social creatures.

Lots of staff there asked me out for lunch during the first week but i coldly declined cos they werent aware that i'm fasting. They grew to have an impression that i was the loner anti-social type and those kinda sorts. Heck, they even think i'm Chinese.. Like my NYP friend there would say - i'm kinda "frightened" during the first week of work. But that's alright ah.

I will be talking about my experience in SSC as we go on.. i dun want every entry in my blog to be cramped full of words; making others skip the long reading. So stay tuned!
